IL2: Battle Of Stalingrad / Re: Tank attack gone bad

Seems remarkably stable considering you only had one-and-a-half wings...If you weren't killed, was the kite still flyable one wonders?

As I said on SAS, if it had been us English chappies flying this unfortunate accident would not have occurred. English politeness and consideration would of prevailed: 'After you Cecil", "No, after you Claude"

Good shooting though Mike; of both the target tank and the footage!

It's amazing what the community have done with that (unseasonal) turkey!

Or, when you physically input your throttle, start from  the other end of the travel?

To confirm what Ted says, after the large update I now get an pop-up saying I can't launch as o/s not compatible.

We normally login to the SAS server around 1800 CUT (GMT) on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Sounds viable.
We're GMT+1 here in germany at winter times, so this would be 1900 for Skylla and me, basically the time we meet anyway - if we do. It's a random thing :P

No, no porn, don't like watching any kind of sport I can't join in !

Rather old rig is all.......and had to be 32bit for the software I ran afore retiring. Unable to upgrade due to Daughter 2 (@ Uni in Central London) messaging me on a regular basis, (like 2 hours ago) 'Dadeee I've run out of moneeeeey!'

Rise of Flight / Re: BIG update!
November 19, 2017, 01:09:48 PM
Same old familiar line-up of kites though:
- SPAD 13 C.1
- Sopwith Dolphin
- Sopwith Camel
- RAF S.E.5a
- Bristol Fighter
- Albatros D.Va
- Fokker Dr.1
- Fokker DVII
- Pfalz D.IIIa
- Halberstadt CL.II

Would be nice to have a bit of flyable variety a la 'WoFF'; some of perhaps the not so successful or glamorous such as the 'Quirk' or the Bristol M1 for example. This will always be a disadvantage with 'pay per plane' set-ups of course.

Fascinating! I've seen similar 'mashups' before, but not some that reproduce the exact framing and angle so accurately. Of interest is the one of Moreton-in-Marsh; little changed, which I believe we all probably drove through to or from Woof's bun-fight.

Hello Ceej!
Things are a it quiet here at the moment, Conky flying his real plane, Bounder on a boat and will have his hands full with a new puppy from Tomorrow. Woof, hopefully is okay after being in the path of Irma, and me struggling with deteriorating service awaiting upgrade to fibre in our  village which has been delayed yet again......(kicked from Sunday Clown session with a ping of 4000!)

We have been flying some of Bounder's immersive missions on Tuesday evenings approx 7:30-8 start if you are aboot! :)

Note to Conky, in the end credits it says 'do not attempt' so don't get any ideas mate.

That made me wince; well bent the wing there, engine buggered to no doubt, write off perhaps? Looks like one of my take-off attempts in an I-185.
The comments below the footage....armchair pilots  ::)  Not one of 'em wondered if the hapless pilot is okay.

Looks like one of my better pancakes! And another high pucker factor landing by Gladdi too, at same event. Had to be extricated from nearby field I gather. No damage though.

I noticed in the footage that when MvR removed his cap he had a strange thin strap going over his head; some kind of dressing or protection after his grievous head wound perhaps? Also the aircraft shown wasn't his regular mount, being in standard factory finish, not red. Kurt Wolff met his end in this kite sometime later.
Thanks for posting Bounder, apologies for the nerding :)

Do you get 'mates rates' when  you buy one Tedders?
