TrackIR 5 and ATI Card Drivers

Updated my ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GBGDDR5 card driver to the latest verion as it was recommended to give better results from CoD...

It made my TrackIR stop working...

Apparently TrackIR using some OpenGL coding and ATI uses directX...

After two hours the only way to get it working again was a system restore.


Apparently this has been going on for over a year now.


My working verions are:

Latest TrackIR
Graphics driver 8.681.0.0


I think Nvidea cards are uneffected.

That's odd Farber. I have (had!) an ATI 5850 card, and was using track IR5 with no problems at all. Had the latest drivers installed for the ATI, but I believe it was 11.3, or something similar. 8.681 sounds quite old.

The latest driver for my card is 10.3

Its been a known issue at Natural Point for around a year I have found out.  Maybe these are the main culprits but also there are other things that effect it - like OS?  Or perhaps its my series of card?
