Some great film of action on Illustrious and Ark Royal in 1941.

Covers Taranto and sinking of the Bismark and Tipitz.

You will need 25mins to watch it:-

If that is too long....you absolutely must watch this one! (only 10 mins.)

I laughed for hours after watching this....it is an absolute classic. Some great flying shots also....but mainly the art of flag signalling before launching your Walrus on which you will be tested one evening! The prangs and comments are just spiffing!

Hmmm...That chap "Wilson" seemed oddly familiar...

Good find Bounder!

Now then, blue flag up and waved round head...does that mean power up or six runs?

John Cartwright

Jolly good show; right sort of chaps in charge judging by received pronunctiation, what?
Notice the misdropped torp heading for the cameraman in the first clip, hope it was a practice warhead.
Superb cotton wool explosion effect used on the Taranto model.
Love these aviation clips, a lhuge interesting collection can be found here (if you haven't seen them before)

Notice the bullet hole in the right windscreen of the Walrus?

I decided to give a hand and sent a post into social bookmarks. I hope the popularity will rise in.
