Hi Chaps,

I just bought the above item (£14.99 + £5 for stand) from Amazon.  It comes with a USB 2.0 lead, but you need to D/L a driver form here:http://codelaboratories.com/products/eye/driver/.

Mine did not work straightaway with FT.  I then did as suggested here :http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=2416.  However I did not uninstall and re-install FT as is recommended.

I altered the settings in the "stream" section to this: 320 x 240 px (32 bits) @ 125.000 FPS.  Not sure how crucial this is, or whether there's any benefit to using 125fps over, say, 75.  I also altered the "frame rate" to 120.

Things still didn't work (prog crashed when I hit "start").  I then found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ax-n7X1uLhs via Google and all works fine.

I have not needed to take out any IR filter as I believe the PS controller works with IR anyway.  I have however stuck four layers of exposed film over the lens to keep out visible light (as I did with my webcam before).

I'm using Windows 7 64

Hope this may be of some use to Freetrack and/or Opentrack users

Thanks for the info and links Ted, I will give mine another try.

I've just experimented a bit and things are much smoother using 640 x 480 px (32 bits) @  75.000 FPS.  This is a big improvement over the 30fps webcam.  Just tried it out in RoF and I think it's well the investment.  Very much easier to track things when fully "zoomed in" and just a better feeling of being in control.
