I know you can read it for yourselves, but progress is at 60% and the overall feel and look is good. A few screenies so you can take in that snow!

Tally Ho Badger!
Yep, looks good indeed. I haven't flown it much lately but I have been keeping up on the forum. Pretty thin-skinned bunch over there ;D.
Pip, pip,
Conky
They are Conkers, generally ok but the do get vey excitable. The moderators are very attentive and tend to keep everyone in check.
I hope you'll enjoy the separate bomb and rocket button! :D I've been enjoying the not self-sealing fuel tanks of the Yak1-69.
The 190 and He111 shouldn't be too far way and then that'll be the full bag before we have to start paying more. Yeah like we will....
Badger
Hi Badger,
What do you think of the La5? I haven't flown it too much but conventional wisdom on the forum says it's not that great. Yes, I will enjoy the separate rocket/bomb buttons, just in time to disrupt the travel plans all those uni students with Eurail passes :D.

Tally Ho Conky!
I find the La5 to be marginally better than the LaGG to be honest. It's find it's fine against the Stukas, but in fairness, so would a Gladiator be. As a dogfighting crate, it is not easy to achieve success even when Z'n'B-ing. I'd like to say I'm waiting for the FN variant, but we'll probably have to pay for it. Maybe those 2 cannons will be useful against the He111, but if flying a La I'd like an escort!
The Yak 1 - 69 is the best dogfighter at the moment and the only worth adversary to the 109's, as you'd expect.
Badger
Priviat Badgerevich!
Your assessment of the La5 pretty much matches my own, sort of like a slower version of an the FW190 we have in the original IL2. The Yak is a very nice kite and a good match for the 109, at least down low. I also like the fm on the Stuka and IL2 although according to the ahem, 'enthusiasts' on the forum they are a bit overpowered.
My biggest beef to date is the fragile engines on the 109's. Ok, they were built by the lowest bidder ;), but still, they should be more robust.

I always wonder how these 'enthusiasts' know what is uberpowered, unterpowered or just right. I guess they have their own real life Stuka, Il2, 109, Yak, LA* whatever to compare it to (with?).
Tally Pootle-ski Blue Dog!
Never a truer word spoken! To be honest I treat any comments that are mustered by the BoS community as a plus in as much that the Devs might take them on board and evaluate their suggestions. I assume that they are comparing the FM's against other sims and AC in BoS.
Personally I just play each AC to the boundaries they offer. Quite often I have problems because I'm not familiar with the optimum settings for the situation I'm in, especially with these new FM's and controls.

I think they get their information strictly from the History Channel on the telly.
Oh, and the P-51 won the war. ;D
Of coarse the P-51 won the war, It's hard to lose with 10 to 1 odds.

Hey SB!
How the hell are you? Come fly with us sometime, I'm starting to think I know what I'm doing and need you to set me straight! :D
See ya,
