Hey!

Ok - bizarrely, the cure is to run CCC and set AA to x16 - after that it runs like a charm!!

Thanks for the help tho all.

Lovely A-10 action - from the DSC guys who brought us Black Shark:

Does look awesome, even accounting for it being tarted up - much like Madame...

I shall just have to disable it when flying the friendly skies.

To be honest, I'm not hugely impressed by the Crossfire - I got the second card for £50 so wasn't that big a deal, but was expecting to see improvement in certain games, such as ARMA2 and FSX - the only one that likes it so far is Batman Arkham Asylum.

I couldn't recommend it on what I've seen so far, so might be selling both on and getting a new wizbang when the new round of cards come out.

BTW, I tried to jump onto TS the other day, but seemed to be struggling - I've a new router so it's probably that, but if someone could be on xfire Tuesday\Thursday this week just in case I have issues, that would be spiffing.

Matrons ministrations will be viewed in equal measure of dread and bizarre anticipation...

Tally bally ho!

As part of my rehabilitation back into joining you chaps at Madam Fifi's, I purchased a second 4870 to run in Crossfire configuration.

However, Il2 does not seem to like it   :(

Anyone else running Crossfire, and if so, did you experience any issues?  It sounds like it can be done (although with minimal impact) but seems to be having a tizzy.

Toodles,

SK

I get something similar with my BT mouse - the extra side buttons stop working post sleep.

I've not come up with anything other than a reboot, but  that may be down to the crappy LT drivers and sw.

Convincing mate to play IL2 again with us hopefully - yay.

Excellent.

I did a few fun Ju87 missions many moons ago which were great - I really just wanted to use the searchlights!

I have been planning a couple of missions so will have to go for it!

Installed this last night when I eventually got home.

Seems to work like a charm, although I also grabbed another conf.ini online.

I've loaded the Singapore maps no problem offline.  What was the channel map we used previously?  The 352nd?  If so, that works perfectly as well.

Tonight, if I may make a request, can we play a couple of these maps to see of the problem is indeed solved?

Cheers,

SK

I literally got mine about a month ago.  Prior to that I used a Cyborg X joystick which has a twist rudder.

I too was in two minds about them, but I found some brand new on ebay for £60 so took a chance.

I have to say, that they do improve your control a lot.  Being able to yaw onto target, doing proper coordinated turns, landing, takeoffs and taxiing are all much improved and they really do add to the immersion.

They do take a bit of getting used to, but I don't think I would be without them now.

*Disclaimer - rudders will not turn you into a certified ace - I am living proof  :D
